SOCIAL COMMITMENT

The Lüder Group of Companies is Co-Founder and major supporter of Domiziel e.V.

Domiziel e.V. is dedicated to the particularly vulnerable group of 10 to 16-year-old boys who have become conspicuous due to multiple offences at the police and youth welfare office. Domicile sets limits and offers attention, security, orientation and reliability. They impart social competence and a sound school education without which the young people would not have any prospects for a safe, independent life.

The Lüder Group works in close cooperation with Domiziel.e.V. and is delighted with the many success stories so far achieved.

HISTORY

On 1 January 1956, Gustav Lüder laid the foundation stone for today’s group of companies when he first registered his business. Insurance was the then 25-year-old’s field. Over the years, further lines of business followed, such as the real estate and finance brokering.

In 1965 Gustav Lüder’s brother, Günter Lüder, became a partner in Lüder OHG, which was based at Rathausstrasse 13b. The first 30 apartments were built on the vineyard in Hildesheim – the beginning of property development and the start of property management activities. In 1967, the company owners took a stake in the renowned Bauring GmbH and two years later acquired 100%. This company had its own construction business, at times employing more than 50 staff.

The 70s and 80s were marked by the dynamic development of residential construction in the Hildesheim region. The Andreas-Passage was purchased and became the company headquarters in 1988. At the beginning of the 1990s, over 200 residential units were built each year, and entire neighbourhoods were created and sold. In total, the Lüder Group has already built, renovated and subdivided more than 3,000 new residential units.

With the successful spin-off of the divisions into different business areas, the operational management was transferred to Sebastian Lüder.

Since 2000, our focus has been on real estate development, investment and management. At the same time, real estate management, parking space management and insurance brokerage were integrated into strategic participations with Sparkasse Hildesheim and Generali Versicherungs AG.

Following the successful development of a number of projects in Hildesheim – such as the 4-star Novotel Hotel, the new Sparda Bank building, the assisted living plus Edeka supermarket (Am Propsteihof) or the Hildesheim Municipal Theatre (conversion of Hall 39) – the Lüder Group focused on the development of large-volume retail projects throughout Germany, in particular with Kaufland and EDEKA as partners. In total, projects with a total volume of more than € 700 million have been developed or traded as investments in Germany to date.

A new holding company was founded with the inclusion of long-standing employees and managing directors as shareholders, which took over the management of all the property companies of Gustav Lüder Verwaltungs- und Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG. The individual divisions were thus further strengthened and expanded on a supra-regional basis, creating a secure foundation for the Lüder Group.

By 2019, real estate projects with a total volume of 1.3 billion euros had been realized throughout Germany.
